Who we are
At 4 Paws Foundation, we believe in the healing power of a well-timed wag, a gentle nuzzle, and the quiet strength of a four-legged friend.
Founded by Cass Frary, our nonprofit therapy dog foundation was born out of a deep commitment to helping people in our community and surrounding regions find comfort and connection through canine companionship. What started as a personal passion has grown into a mission-driven organization focused on bringing certified therapy dogs to those who need them most.
Whether in hospitals, schools, nursing homes, shelters, courtrooms, or crisis situations, our therapy dogs are trained to offer emotional support, ease anxiety, and help people feel seen, safe, and cared for.
We’re here to raise awareness of the good therapy dogs can do because it’s not just about petting a dog; it’s about creating a moment of peace in a person’s day, a smile in the middle of hardship, and hope when it’s needed most.
Every visit is a chance to build a bridge between people, between communities, and between the heart and healing.
Behind our mission is a dedicated Board of Directors, a group of local leaders, professionals, and advocates with strong ties to the community and a deep-rooted love of dogs. Each member brings unique expertise, compassion, and a shared belief in the transformative power of the human-animal bond.
Together, they guide our vision, ensure responsible growth, and help us reach more individuals in need of the comfort only a therapy dog can provide.
We’re grateful to have a board that reflects the heart of our mission: people who care deeply, lead thoughtfully, and believe in the positive power of canine connection.
